Long way from any services and convenience stores. Very noisy alongside a busy highway especially in the early morning. Restrooms clean and comfortable.
The restrooms never got cleaned in the 2 days we stayed here, restocked yes but never cleaned. The same dirty band aid was still on the floor as when we left. Black mold was all over the walls, trash never cleaned up inside and outside the restrooms. The check in staff were very good but the staff inside the campground most unfriendly and not a happy smile to be seen. The sites are very spacious but children wander around the sites with no respect for any privacy and do tend to be noisy. Large fires at almost every site even thou the temp was in the 85 plus area, I am unable to understand why people have 5 foot flames on hot nights, fires for marshmallows and cooking but not high flame thrower fires.
We paid our night rate and were then told that the only restroom available was in the laundry room and the activity room with the showers were closed for the summer season. Then we discovered that the laundry room closed at 9 PM and opened again at 7 AM. There was nobody else on the campground as it was summer and very hot. Yes the laundry got closed at 9 PM on the dot, goodness knows why, we were in a Pop-up so we needed the bathroom. We were most disappointed for a so called service industry to treat guests this way.
We were amazed at the low price and high quality of this campground. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bathrooms were exceptional, also included shampoo/conditioner and liquid soap, very clean and well maintained. Satellite TV connection. All of this for $14 a night, unbeatable value, plus great restaurants nearby.
Very nice park, exceptionally clean and well maintained. Staff generally polite on check; in the process was smooth and courteous. Bathrooms clean although the floors did not look too sparkling although maybe it was the tiles, but they looked as if they needed better cleaning. One disturbing aspect was the male workamper reprimanded my wife for allowing our Labrador for urinating on a tree. Gee, it's only water what harm does it do, but I guess we are the guests and he's told what to do, although it did mar our visit and that was a shame. Otherwise our rating would have been higher.
Lots of concrete and not easy to get into the sites. The one way system and the official exit is impossible to navigate and use so the entrance also became the exit. Staff polite and restrooms clean with a combination lock system. I guess if you arrived after hours access would be restricted. This park is absolutely not pet friendly, so many signs saying don't do this with your pet and no pet run. Overall a very cold sterile park.
Polite staff on check in. Huge sites and very well maintained. A tent was allowed in the RV sites which we found strange and there was a fire ban. This did not stop 2 RV'ers lighting huge fires which were left unattended. Security came around and did absolutely nothing about the fires. This caused us concern about our safety. Very nice walking trails. Shame that tent owners left their dog inside the tent unattended which the dog then ripped the tent into pieces. The dog needed pacifying which we did until the owners returned, not the dogs fault and they treated the dog with compassion which was good.
